Quando il tramonto sembra eterno, arrivando da est a ovest.
Le case coi mattoni a vista, i bagagli non controllati al confine.
Chiudere gli occhi in un viaggio in pullman, senza neanche dormire,
è sperare di aprirli solo una volta arrivati a casa.

Ma è come se tutto ciò che abbia vissuto
mi sia stato soltanto raccontato.
Ma se c'è una cosa di cui sono certo
è che ogni storia abbia la stessa struttura.
Ma se le pagine non sono più in ordine
e non so più dove è iniziata
un finale dovró trovarlo da solo.
Non lo lascerò scrivere a nessun altro.

THE PROPP SCHEME

But there's no happy ending without a comeback.
The sunset looks endless when travelling westbound.
Brick wall houses, luggages that weren’t checked at the border.
Closing my eyes on a bus trip, without even sleeping,
means hoping to open them only once I am home.

But it's as if everything I've lived through
is only something I was told.
But if there's one thing I'm sure of
it’s that every story follows the same structure.
But if the pages are not in the right order anymore,
and I don't know where it all began,
I will need to look for an ending by myself.
I won't let anyone else write it.

With a knife in my left hand,
I know where to go for once.
