Odio la città in cui non sono mai stato, l'estate in cui sono rimasto qui, i giorni che mi sono perso, perso tra il dare per scontato e l'amore per l'attuale. Tra le canzoni che ascoltiamo solo perché ci ricordano qualcuno. Rileggiti tra un anno e capirai che non è servito a niente. Riascoltati tra un anno e scoprirai che è cambiato tutto. E' già passato, è già successo scorri l'innocenza come fosse un libro scritto due volte, scritto tre volte, ma sempre uguale. L'hai più ascoltata quella canzone che ti ricordava di me? Io tengo ancora le parole e quelle foto e tutto.. Non volevo arrivare a questo, non volevo rinnegare me stesso, non volevo bruciare il resto ma l'ho fatto nonostante tutto. Rileggiti tra un anno e capirai che non è servito a niente. Riascoltati tra un anno e scoprirai che è cambiato tutto. --- I hate the city I've never been to, the summer I remained here, the days I've missed, lost between taking for granted and loving the present. Ancora, ogni mattina quando mi sveglio sento sempre quell'impulso, quella voglia di scappare. Ciò che amiamo a volte è troppo veloce, ciò che non c'interessa è al nostro fianco.. E odio chi non sopporta i violinisti sulla metropolitana, e chi non fa scendere prima di salire. Odio quando fa troppo caldo, e odio rinnegare me stesso come ho fatto ripensando a Glasgow. E ascolto i Jawbreaker ogni primavera. Ogni primavera. In fondo non c'è nessun altro posto che riuscirei a chiamare casa. --- Still, every morning when I wake up I always feel that impulse, that will to escape. What we love is sometimes too fast, what we don't care about is by our side.. And I hate those who can't stand violinists on underground trains, and those who don't let you get off before boarding. I hate it when it's too hot, and I hate betraying myself like I did thinking back to Glasgow. And I listen to Jawbreaker every spring. Every spring. After all, there's no other place I could ever call home.

Restiamo col capo chino in un baratro di pensieri, sarà il destino a prendere per noi una decisione se mai un giorno ci rincontreremo. I nostri occhi perdono lacrime annebbiano la ragione, muoriamo dentro. Non c'è alcuna soluzione. Ma all' improvviso ecco il sereno, da ogni parte riprendono i soliti rumori, (chissà) che cosa mai saremo. Ripercorriamo il sentiero consueto ricercando un' insensata serenità. Vivere giorno per giorno ricercando una meta apparente che potrebbe dare una svolta alla tua vita. Sentire sulla pelle scivolare le stagioni. Tutto ciò per cui avevi vissuto sembrava sbiadire, spinti a prendere forzate decisioni per poi ghiacciare una tempesta di emozioni. Trovare il coraggio di continuare nella monotonia per non marcire dentro, con la certezza che tutto ciò che siamo non è stato creato per renderci felici. --- We stay with our heads bowed into an abyss of thoughts, only fate will take a decision for us if we will ever meet again one day. Our eyes are losing tears, clouding the reason, we die inside. There is no solution. But suddenly here comes the calm once again the same old noises come from all over, (who knows) what we will ever be. We retrace the usual path looking for a senseless serenity. Living day by day seeking an apparent goal that could completely change your life. Feeling the seasons slipping on your skin. Everything you lived for seemed to fade away, compelled to take forced decisions and then to freeze a storm of emotions. Finding the courage to keep living in monotony not to rot inside, knowing for sure that all we are wasn't made to make us happy.

Capita a volte di dire addio alle cose sbagliate nelle parole scritte di getto negli aeroporti, nelle stazioni. Capita tutti i giorni. Cerco rifugio, cerco conforto nei conti alla rovescia nelle domande senza risposte non voglio sapere a cosa pensi prima di dormire. Sei in tutti i sogni che faccio tranne quelli che mi ricordo quando mi sveglio, e tutto è diverso meglio di come lo ricordavo. Ora che il sole ruba il mio sguardo Ora mi fermo, ora capisco. E smetto di contare. Ora che posso guardare il mare senza vedere nessun naufragio solo orizzonti di terre lontane e il tempo infinito per arrivarci. Oggi, per me, non c'è nessun naufragio. --- Sometimes it happens to say farewell to the wrong things in words written on impulse in airports, in train stations. It happens everyday. I'm looking for a refuge, I'm looking for comfort in countdowns in unanswered questions I don't want to know what you think about before you fall asleep. You're in all the dreams I have except the ones I remember when I wake up, and everything is different better than how I remembered it. Now that the sun is stealing my glance now I make a pause, I understand and I stop counting. Now that I can look at the sea without seeing any shipwreck only horizons of far away lands and an endless time to get there. Today there is no shipwreck for me.

Era meglio quando il sole non riscaldava, e ascoltavamo i Frammenti prima di dormire. Era un po' meglio d'estate, lasciare finestre aperte, entrare in fabbriche abbandonate e non lasciare impronte. Quando parlavamo in prima persona plurale, trovando una seconda persona per ogni testo e canzone. Quando alle quattro di mattina a Lugano cercavamo una stazione, ma abbiamo trovato il profumo del pane. Era meglio perdersi in macchina, trovare traffico, tornare tardi, ma tornare sempre. Iniziare tutti i libri che abbiamo in casa e finire soltanto quelli che siamo obbligati a leggere. Cercare risposte nei film di cui dimentichiamo le trame. Era meglio telefonarti ogni giorno tornando da scuola, viaggiare da soli, aspettarti per ore, cercando risposte. Era meglio senza inquinamento, meglio lontani da qui. E sarebbe stato meglio saltare qualche verso. Sarebbe stato meglio non urlare così tanto. Sarebbe stato meglio non urlare affatto, ma non dipende da me. --- It was better when the sun was not warming and we used to listen to Frammenti before sleeping. It was a bit better in summer, keeping windows open, getting into abandoned factories without leaving any traces. When we used to speak in first person plural finding a second person for every lyric and song. When at 4 in the morning in Lugano we were searching for a train station, but we found the smell of fresh bread instead. It was better to get lost by car, to find traffic, to get home late, but to always get home. To begin all of the books we have at home and to finish only the ones we're forced to read. Seeking for answers in movies we forget the plots of. It was better to call you every day while coming home from school, to travel alone, to wait for you for hours, seeking for answers. It was better without pollution, better far away from here. And it would have been better to skip some lines. It would have been better not to scream so loud. It would have been better not to scream at all, but it's not up to me.
